点评：We loved our stay at this lovely Chateau. We stayed overnight in the beautiful Bell Tower room. It is not often that photos don't do justice to a room - it is more common to be disappointed but here we were taken aback by the gorgeous room. Very spacious and comfortable with beautiful decor and a fantastic view of St Emillion in the distance - perfect. We also loved the communal area downstairs and the lovely breakfast buffet. We had a fantastic meal in the Michelin restaurant. We were also able to drive to and park in St Emilion first thing on a Sunday morning before all the other tourists arrived so we had it to ourselves which was lovely. My husband also enjoyed the wine tasting and it was nice to have chocolate in the room and lots of lovely drinks in the fridge downstairs and on the side.
Just a few points to note - when you arrive you check in at the modern building on the left and then move your car to the older building on the right once you have checked in. Also I normally like to stay at hotels where there is somebody on the property at night in the event of emergencies (especially when overseas). We tried the number on the sheet in the room for overnight watchman but nobody answered or called us back. It would be better if someone was available at night.
Having said that this was a wonderful stay and we would stay here again. Very recommended for a peaceful stay.
