We survived the Cave of Caerbannog!

点评：Those who seek the Cave of Caerbannog must be die-hard Monty Python fans and very fit because getting there isn't for the faint-hearted! You really do have to go on a quest to find it! Some confusion, driving round in circles and asking at a nearby hotel later, and we finally got Google Maps to send us in the right direction. We were also referring to info and pics taken from the Internet.
There is nowhere to park, so we had to park in a nearby passing place and walk back. We had to climb over a stone wall in order to get onto the hillside itself. The hill is VERY steep. It's also a bit dangerous. The grass is boggy in places and slippery. You really have to watch where you put your feet. Luckily you don't have to struggle up the hill for long before you find the marker you're looking for - a tree that looks like it's growing out of a cave. Once you come over the brow of the hill, there it is in front of you. We carefully made our way down to it. After having fun exploring and taking pics outside the caves, my friend went inside. I didn't follow him because it was too steep and slippery for me. Luckily, the legendary Black Beast of Aaargh wasn't around, so he could come and go without being eaten!
It felt very special to be there and we were thrilled to have actually found it! The views from the hillside are stunning and we later discovered that "Scene 24" was filmed somewhere there too. All you can hear is sheep bleating. They sounded like they were laughing at us. You do have to be slightly mad to attempt it but I have no regrets.
A must visit for true fans!
