点评:Norwegians really do seem to love their statues. They're everywhere in Oslo, from Ekerbergparken in the east, in the city centre and at Vigelandparken in the west.
It's hard to describe my first opinion of Vigelandparken. I don't think we really have anything like it in the UK, but there was an aspect of great English houses and their landscaped gardens. It's an eye-popping view when you first pass through the gates and see the view leading to the central pillar.
There's also a rather large lake landscaped lake within the park, but I found the stream leading to the lake was a little dirty and left me a little unimpressed. The water levels were probably down, due to it being a hot week, so maybe that had something to do with it.
You could take a picnic and have a lovely family day or a friend's gathering on one of the many large open areas of grass.
Definitely worth seeing. It is impressive to see all those statues.
