点评:Saw the signs for the Historic Sight and drive on down. We hit it on the 1st Sunday of the month so admission was FREE! Took us about an hour to tour the buildings and see first hand a Cod Fish processing center from the hay day. While over 29 other buildings had burned in a fire, there some great examples of the period including the warehouse which is said to be the largest wooden white house in North America.
We tried lunch at the little restaurant but it was no great shakes. A good cafe for a quick bite but average at best. There was also a musician setting up at about 1:30pm and she sounded great but we had to hit the road to make Mirimichi for the night.
Don’t pass this by! You can see it all quickly or spend the time to visit each museum building to get a sense of Cod Fishing life in the 1800s
