A good place to enjoy nature for 1-2 hours

点评：Thoughtfully designed garden on the side of a steep hill with many winding paths up and down the hill. More or less in a jungle and almost all shaded. Not a very large area, though many plants to see (not just spices), many interesting explanations about the plants printed in English. Free cool drink (tea with local ingredients) at top of the gardens. Very pleasant to spend 1-2 hours wandering around garden. Very few other visitors on a weekday late morning. Nice to be away from the traffic of Georgetown.
RM 30 per adult which is expensive compared to many entry prices in Malaysia, but very reasonable compared to international attractions. Half price for seniors.
Citronella bug spray provided at entry station. Good map provided on paper. Souvenir shop with large range of products at entry/exit. Friendly staff at entry/exit.
Because of lots of steps and slopes, should have some minimal/moderate level of agility to enjoy. Might be very difficult in a wheelchair? Might be fun for children to explore but might need to watch small children closely because lots of slopes and bushes.
Arrived and left by public bus (101 or 102 from Georgetown). Bus stop at entrance of garden. Buses probably every 10-15 minutes. A few other tourists got off bus to visit Spice Gardens. If taking a public bus from city, have someone who has good sense of direction otherwise it is very easy to miss the stop!
