Severn Expeditions Day Boat Hire的点评
点评：We’ve just returned from a full day on the River Severn, having hired the Blue Dan boat with Severn Expeditions, and had a fabulous time. It was perfect for our group of 2 couples and the experience from start to finish has been excellent.
We booked online and received lots of information in advance to allow us to familiarise ourselves with the boat hire and enable us to get the most from our trip.
I rang the day before and spoke with Tim who recommended we sail up to Worcester where we could moor the boat and enjoy some lunch. He also suggested we take umbrellas to provide some shade from the sun, which was great advice.
The welcome from Tim on arrival was really friendly and he took the time to run through all the important info in terms of the self drive and rules of the waterway, until we were all set to go.
The trip up stream took around 2 1/2 hours and involved a manned lock which was fun to experience and the lock keeper was really patient with our inexperience. We saw lots of wildlife including plenty of herons and a kingfisher en route - it’s a really lovely stretch of river.
We easily moored in Worcester and walked the short distance to the Diglis Hotel on the river front where we enjoyed a lovely meal overlooking the river. We actually sat inside where we enjoyed the air conditioning as it was over 35 degrees outside before returning back downstream.
There was plenty of space on board for our belongings and ice boxes to keep us hydrated in the heat.
I’d chosen to use Severn Expeditions based on their TripAdvisor reviews and have to agree with all of the good stuff previously written. We really enjoyed our day and the great service from this lovely small business.
