点评：If you’re considering a guided experience in Yellowstone, Yellowstone Insight Day Tours is simply unmatched. MacNeil’s knowledge is on an entirely different level—deeply scientific, deeply human, and clearly earned over years in the park. During our time together, it felt like he knew everyone we encountered, from rangers to fellow guides, and more than once we were told—unprompted—that he is “the very best Yellowstone guide out here.” That kind of respect doesn’t come lightly, and it completely validated our decision. His stories and personal journey added so much texture to the day, grounding the experience in history, conservation, and lived expertise rather than just facts.
The day itself was extraordinary. Every sip and bite was thoughtful and delicious—his homemade elk sausage was a highlight. Wildlife sightings were incredible and varied: cougars high in the mountains, foxes, coyotes, countless birds, and of course bison. MacNeil was incredibly attentive to detail, intentionally seeking out diverse landscapes and ecosystems rather than chasing a single moment. What stood out just as much was his ethics—his deep respect for Yellowstone and commitment to protecting the animals who call it home while still helping guests experience the park in a meaningful way. He’s hardworking, principled, and genuinely passionate about doing this the right way.
