There is an incredible array of wildlife with many different types of penguins, seals and birds through to dolphins & whales. This is a working sheep farm and depending on the time of your visit you may be lucky enough to see a sheep gathering and hand shearing demo by Alex. The wool is exquisite and available to purchase in a number of colours ready to knit whatever your heart desires.
There are mountains to climb, stunning cliffs, caves to explore and the longest white sand beach in the islands.
If you are interested in military history, you will find the site of the first land-based action of the 1982 Falklands War, when the SAS landed by boat at night to disable the 11 Argentine aircraft on its runway.
There are several types of cosy accommodation available from fully catered or self-catering houses to a lodge.
