Highly recommended for intermediate and advanced skiers
Shigakogen Yakebitaiyama Ski Area的点评
点评：The grooming quality here is outstanding, and it’s a ski resort you can visit again and again without getting bored. The staff are incredibly friendly and always greet you with a smile — they even kindly assist sit-ski users when getting on and off the gondola.
There are few beginner runs, but plenty of long courses, so first-timers might prefer the Shiga Kogen Central area. For intermediate and advanced skiers, however, this resort is an excellent choice. In spring, the slopes open as early as 6 a.m., and you can enjoy plenty of snow until Golden Week. Many slopes face south, so the snow tends to soften quickly later in the day.
While there are currently no wheelchair-accessible restrooms, the restaurant has stairs, and there are no designated accessible parking spaces, I truly hope to see accessibility improvements in the future. It’s such a wonderful resort that making it easier for everyone to enjoy would make it even better.
