点评：My experience with Gateway was terrible. While it started with a title error, they said through power of Attorney I signed they would request the corrected title after I paid them the fee. Gateway then filled out the paperwork incorrectly by putting the incorrect VIN number on the form and used the incorrect address for, an address I had not lived at for 16 years. I had to put in a change of address for the old address to have title sent to me. The 'corrected' title came back with the same incorrect VIN number and when I pointed this out, instead of resubmitting the paperwork to the state, Gateway gave me 4 days to pick up the car or I would have to pay storage fees.
They refused to correct their mistakes, refund me the title fees they botched and I had to cut my vacation short to get my car.
Further they insisted the forms were filled out correctly and the state made the error. This was after I provided copies of their errors and the state verified over the phone and through the local DMV the form was incorrectly filled out with the WRONG VIN and the new title was issued the incorrect VIN from the form.
Gateway also suggested I go online buy a replacement VIN plate to match the title, however this sounds illegal to me.
I have since resubmitted the title correction forms myself and also filled them out correctly.
This has also meant a 1 year delay in getting my car to market.
What bothered me most was Gayway's insisting that they filled out the forms correctly and blamed the state and refusal to correct their mistake, refund my title fee, set any expectations on how long the title correction will take. I did not get to drive my convertible for the entire summer.
