点评:Generally Cape May is a dog friendly town. We entered the store with our small pug strapped into a stroller. We were immediately approached by a sales lady, told dogs are not welcome and asked to leave. She was polite about it. Certainly not the usual warm, welcoming spirit of the other shops in Cape May but no problem, there are other bath shops.
We immediately turned to leave but the store is very small and a group of four people were coming in. We had to wait for them to come in so we could go out. Two of the people asked if they could pet the dog and we said yes. This was all a time frame of less than 60 seconds.
The sales lady came back up to us and said in front of the group “the people in back will jump all over you if you don’t get out”. With that one of the people said “their dog is better behaved than most children” and moved aside so we could exit the store.
I’m not sure what else to say except that it is unpleasant to be threatened during afternoon shopping on vacation.
