点评:This marvellous museum is a little out of the way but we found it easily enough by train from Milan Centrale to Pioltello Limito and then a short taxi ride. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by Vittorio. We were given a tour of the store and workshops of Casa Lambretta to point out a newly arrived totally original 60's DL and a rare Innocenti car driven once for a royal visit. The main event however is upstairs and WOW it does not disappoint! I could give you a commentary on the seemingly never ending original and rare machines collected over a lifetime but it wouldn't do it justice. There are plenty of photographs on line and below but they can only begin to hint at the scale of this remarkable collection. Beautifully presented it is perhaps far too much to take it all in. There are other rooms containing oddities and rareties from the golden age of scooters but really it's all about Lambrettas. For the casual visitor it will be interesting and informative, for a true enthusiast it will be overwhelming! A true pilgrimage. All of the staff were so friendly and knowledgeable and of course I had to buy a few bits from the shop. On the right hand side of train back to central Milan you can still glimpse in the distance the water tower of the old Innocenti factory, one of the very few bits left. It felt a fitting way to round off our perfect trip!
