Nabogiono Farms Aka Bobby's Farm的点评
点评：We visited the farm as an excursion from our cruise ship and were told that we were the first cruise ship guests to ever visit this farm. Typically, they had guests from nearby resorts. We were greeted by the owner of the property, and he proceeded to show us around the property, stopping to point out edible plants and fruits. He has many different plants interspersed together that have attracted local birds and butterflies. We walked for over an hour, walking up gradual inclines at times. On several occasions, he and his staff allowed us to sample things. First, he and his staff pointed out the immature Cut Nut pods on trees. Some were very small nodules and others had beautiful flowers that were attracting many bees. There were also mature Cut Nuts that they cracked open and offered us the meat of the nut. He explained that the coconut is the "tree of life" since all parts of the coconut can be eaten or used in some way. He cut open green coconuts so that we could drink the water and to eat the immature coconut meat which was very flexible and didn't taste like normal coconut that we've eaten before. We also tasted the spongy coconut "cake" that forms inside the coconut once it has sprouted. Lastly, he and his staff harvested Heart of palm from the inner core and growing stalk of the coconut tree. At the conclusion of the tour, we sat on picnic tables outside his home and enjoyed a plate of food harvested from his farm, including slices of tomato, banana and fried plantain, fried eggplant, fried breadfruit, fried casava, and more. There are several unisex toilets that guests can use. Be sure to ask to use the facilities before starting a tour since there aren't any other facilities on the property.
