点评：We arrived at 6.30am for a birdwatching tour at Bobby's Garden. First thing after greeting us, Bobby asked if we had insect repellent on. After sorting that out we headed off through the garden to look for birds. We could hear plenty of birds calling and Bobby named them as we heard them. Then he found us some beautiful many-coloured fruit doves which are gorgeous. There were fly-catchers and honey-eaters, and stunning parrots.
After about an hour of birdwatching we sat down with Bobby and talked conservation and about the various plants and trees and their importance in the forest for food and medicine. Then we headed back out into the garden and forest to taste our way around. We tried all sorts of interesting things - some not so nice and some absolutely delicious. That was about another hour of wandering about the garden.
Back to the house for a cup of herbal tea and some cooked snacks to finish up with.
Bobby is knowledgeable and passionate about conservation and the value of the plants in the rainforest. Definitely worth a visit.
