Maine Visitor Information Center的点评
点评：One afternoon during vacation, I drove over to the Maine Visitor Information Center in Kittery via Ledgewood Drive off US-1 for the latest 2024 regional tourism publications.
I got a number of brochures and booklets, except for the ones on the York Beaches and Freeport. Those were out of stock.
I got an updated road map, the “Maine Invites You” magazine-style publication that has some information on each of the tourism regions in the state, and the booklet on Ogunquit as well as the Ellsworth Area publication. I also picked up “The Greater Bridgton lake Region of Maine,” the “Wells, Maine 2024 Guide,” and “Go Kennebunks” booklets.
Other than the two booklets on the local area which had the most popular information travelers wanted from this visitor center, the racks were very well stocked.
As usual, the restrooms were clean and well supplied with hand soap, etc.
The staff here is very knowledgeable and can provide information on all the towns in the area and beyond.
There’s also an area outside where one can walk around to stretch one’s legs and/or walk a dog.
I maintain my rating of this Maine State Visitor Information Center at 5.0.
I highly recommend stopping here for travel information even if one’s trip is pretty much planned because there is always more information to be had to add an extra attraction, activity, or restaurant to one’s itinerary.
From here, I continued on up US-1 to the York Chamber of Commerce office on Stonewall Lane which is right on the same access road to Stonewall Kitchen’s flagship store. There I got the desired publication on York.
The reason for the delay in submitting this review was due to a months-long loss of my ability to post photos with my reviews and some health issues that have put me very far behind.
