Simien Mountain Trekking and Tours的点评
点评：We did a 4 day 3 night trek in the Simien Mountains with Simien Mountain Trekking and Tours. The whole experience was absolutely exceptional and I cannot recommend Mickey and his company enough.
We initially reached out to Mickey via email as we had read the good reviews on Trip Advisor. He was very quick to respond with a proposed itinerary and we then connected via WhatsApp. At the time of booking, the war in Tigray was still ongoing, so we had a lot of questions regarding safety. Mickey was extremely reassuring and kept us updated on the situation regularly.
When we arrived in Addis Ababa, Mickey came to meet us at our hotel and gave us a free tour of the city. Our baggage had been lost by our airline so Mickey took us to some shops to buy clothes and organised a restaurant for dinner. Nothing was too much trouble for Mickey - he went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of our trip was taken care of.
We had found a hotel which we really wanted to stay at in Gondar (The Gondar Hills Hotel ) Unfortunately the hotel was fully booked on the dates we were arriving due to the Ethiopian New Year, but Mickey knows the owner and was able to organise a room for us.
The trek itself was incredible - the Simien Mountains have been on my bucket list for a long time and they did not disappoint! The scenery was breathtaking and we were lucky enough to encounter many Gelada Monkeys during our trek.
Mickey's team went above and beyond to take care of us. The cook Fentay is one of the nicest humans I have ever met and we absolutely loved his delicious soup every afternoon after a long day of trekking.
When we got back to Addis Ababa we were craving steak after eating mostly vegetarian food in the mountains. Mickey was quick to recommend and book a wonderful steak restaurant for us and even picked us up from our hotel to take us there.
If you are considering a trip to Ethiopia I would not hesitate to recommend Mickey and his company - he really made our trip! Thank you Mickey :-)
