点评:My sister and I went on a 2 1/2 week road trip starting and ending in Denver where we rented our car. We explored western Colorado and north eastern New Mexico. At the end of our trip, we went to this park. It was summer and it was hot and we have the sleeping bear national Lakeshore San dunes that we enjoy right outside our back door practically so we didn’t hike the sand dunes. We did get pictures of beautiful sand dune views as they are different from sleeping bear dunes which are somewhat tree covered and along lake Michigan. We started at the visitor center and figured out what we wanted to do we decided to go on a hike away from the dunes into the aspirin woods. This was the Montville nature Trail Loop but we decided to get out of the loop at first and go up the Mosca Pass Trail a bit which took us up and up and up on Rocky terrain, beautiful stones, and the creek running alongside it quite a few feet below. Coming back down we got on the nature loop and had amazing dune views before arriving at the car park. This trailhead is across the park road from the visitor’s center. Highly recommend learning about the dunes, hiking them in cooler weather, and doing a hike in the woods like I mention here.
