Lovely wine, bargain prices, and a nice laid back visit. Recommend stopping off at H&H

点评：We were walking from Cabo Girao to Camara and the route took us past the front door. The sign said 'Vistors welcome' so we thought why not!
All very laid back, we walked in to an empty reception and literally followed our noses upstairs to the small shop and tasting area with barrels everywhere. Looking lost we were greeted by a lady who offered us a free taste of 3 year old Madeira each, so we tried a bit of each other's and decided we liked the less sweet one best - it was very nice.
The older wines (5yr/10yr etc) are available to taste but they charge €1 each?. We went into the shop, which is quite interesting with loads of different types and ages of wine going back to the 19th century! Those are €1,000's of euros. We opted for the medium rich 5yr which is €11 for a 75cl bottle, and have been having a small glass each every night since. It is a lovely warming slightly sweet - but not too sweet, desert wine and is delicious. The 10yr old stuff is about €25-€30 and I can imagine is superb.
A 50cl bottle of the 5yr old is about £15 back in UK so €11 for 75cl is an absolute bargain.
Will be back when this bottle runs out to get some more!

在英国，一瓶 50 毫升的 5 年陈酿大约要 15 英镑，所以 75 毫升的只要 11 欧元，绝对超值。
