点评：My husband and I joined a small group on a photography tour with See & Explore and were greatly pleased with the experience. Iver picked us up at our hotel then went to get the remaining people, after which we joined up with his colleague (may have been Oddgeir, I failed to note his name) who had collected a few more people. In all, 10 customers plus the two guides. We were driven outside town and did some fairly short hikes in a few places to view the wildlife. The guides were very knowledgeable and engaging and they really went out of their way to deliver the best experience for everyone. Wildlife is unpredictable, but they know the places where there’s a good chance of finding them. We had seen walruses, and very luckily polar bears, so we most wanted to see reindeer, Arctic fox and birds. We were not disappointed. The fox that Iver spotted was even feeding on a reindeer carcass, so we witnessed interesting behavior. He wasn’t very close but close enough for good viewing. We really hoped to see a Red-throated Diver, and they found one sitting on a nest. Its head was tucked in, so it wasn’t the best view, but satisfying nonetheless. We also spotted Little Auks, Arctic Terns, Barnacle Geese (they’re everywhere), Snow Buntings and nesting Eider Ducks with eggs and ducklings. In addition to wildlife viewing, we went to overlooks for beautiful scenery photos and saw the International Seed Vault. We had taken a couple of boat excursions, which were also terrific, and this tour rounded out our explorations perfectly.
