点评：Our visit to the Elephant Sanctuary was the perfect way to close our weekend, and it was a truly memorable experience.
From the moment we arrived, the professionalism and knowledge of the guides stood out. They were informative, engaging, and clearly passionate about the elephants in their care. Every explanation was thorough, educational, and delivered with genuine respect for the animals.
What impressed us most was the evident level of care given to the elephants. They are extremely well looked after, and it is clear they trust their handlers. The relationship between the guides and the elephants felt built on consistency and familiarity rather than control. There was a calmness and mutual understanding that was reassuring to observe.
While there is naturally a structured element to the experience for guests, it is clear that this is necessary to sustain the organisation and its work. The way the walk is incorporated into the visit does not appear to cause discomfort or stress to the animals. On the contrary, it felt like a form of stimulation and engagement for them. The elephants appeared relaxed, curious, and comfortable during the interaction, and it was evident that the handlers were attentive to their behaviour at all times.
The sanctuary strikes a thoughtful balance between education, conservation, and meaningful guest interaction. We left not only with wonderful memories, but with a deeper appreciation and understanding of these magnificent animals.
