点评：There are 8 different camps on the lagoon that offer whale watching experiences. We chose Baja Ecotours for several reasons:
1. Transportation Logistics. For security and comfort, we wanted to minimize time in a car on the road. Baja Ecotours flies you from the Tijuana airport straight to the lagoon in nice 12-passenger Cessna prop planes. They pick you up at a motel in San Diego, then drive you to the CBX at the border, where they escort you to the border crossing. It was easy and we felt very safe and secure. The planes are great and the flights were smooth.
2. They are dedicated to doing the right thing for the whales and the local ecology. They don't chase the whales: they position the boats to encourage whales to come to you. The whales are in control and decide what type of interaction they want. Some come up to the boat seeking human interaction and seem to enjoy being stroked. Baja Ecotours also is very respectful of the land to minimize the impact that we humans have in it.
3. It was started about 35 years ago when a local fisherman realized that the whales weren't "devil fish" but were intelligent gentle creatures. It is still run by that same family, supplemented by a great staff.
We highly recommend going to San Ignacio Lagoon to see the grey whales with Baja Ecotours.
