Convict Trail的点评
点评：Awesome trail with a lot of information around.
Ok, first thing first, you need to cross the ferry from wiseman ferry town, it's 5 minutes ferry ride, no charge, and you need to stay in your car all time. You can take bicyle or just ride the ferry to across the river.
There is no parking nearby the trail if you start from Devine hill, it's only side road parking, probably 3 car spot, especially there is road work now (this was in March 2025). However if you start from Finch line there will be more parking. Mind you between two locations (Devine hill and finch line) there is no proper pedestrian walk, so you will need to walk on the road side around 2km.
If you just want to see the history of how the convict made the road, i suggested go through Devine Hill, return probably 4km. Road conditions is wide but with loose stone along and steep at some points.
If you want to go along the finch line, it will add 5 km through to the wiseman ferry road and depending where you park your car it will add couple more kms. I was parked at Devine hill road entrance and in total we walked 9km,took us less than 3.5 hours with moderate speed and a lot stop along the road to read all the information.
The trail is really interesting historical piece for NSW and Australia, i hope the infrastructure getting better.
