点评：I started from Ronny Creek past the Crater Lake to Marions Lookout. One advice: start as early as possible especially in summer. I took the second shuttle bus. The section with the chain is one way, so when I came down there was a queue waiting to get up. The view is absolutely worth it. I took the wombat pool way down - also very beautiful walk - and from the boat house on Dove Lake walked round the lake. I did not realise till it was too late that it is recommended to walk the lake clockwise. One group was not very friendly about it that I went the "wrong" way. There were hundreds of people walking round the lake on this sunny and perfect day. For the climb to Marions Lookout you should bring some fitness with you and be surefooted and wear proper shoes. I saw two girls going up there in their Birkenstocks. Even around the lake it goes a bit up and down and I wondered if it was not too much for some of the people I met. For the lake circuit any other time than middle of January would be better. I guess that is peak season and just too many people.
