点评：After playing at the free Japan Golf and games area of the North Marine park, (next to the bowling greens), our grandson was hungry. Whereas there’s plenty of options on the sea front we decided to see what the Haven Point had on their cafe menu. We were pleasantly surprised that a child’s meal deal, crisps, large hotdog, juice and a banana only came to £3.10! (A brownie biscuit added 90p to the bill). For adults there was costa coffee, paninis and jacket potatoes.. If we’d wanted a similar deal along the sea front it could easily double its cost. Haven Point is the main swimming pool in South Shields. Apart from swimming there’s other activities for adults to do. The cafe area was quite busy when we went at 12.30ish.
(The pool areas were really full. It was clean and the staff efficient coping with a constant stream of people.)
As always, check the parking regulations as South Shields seems to be a hotbed for wardens.
