点评：We are a mixed bunch. A South African living in South Africa; a South African living overseas and an American visiting South Africa. We found every aspect of our tour great for helping us to see, feel and understand what has made South Africa the nation it is today. Our guide has lived through the tumultuous times in Soweto and one is able to feel his connection with the people and the places. Our visits to the various places were rich in culture and learning. Visiting Vilikazi street and Nelson Mandela’s house was amazing. Our guide brought it to life in many ways. Regina Mundi church was an eye-opener too. But the personal touch from Ndebele Tours took us to Credo Mutwa park where we learned a lot about the deep underlying tenets of African culture and gained insight into Credo as an artist and as someone who brings culture to life. His prophecies are interesting too. Our guide was excellent. The view from the top of the tower was great - panoramic views of Soweto. Lunch was great too - some insights into traditional cooking but with some tasty “western” options as well.
From here we drove to Marapeng. I have a real interest in the deep history of this area having heard a bit about Mrs Ples in the past and having watched the Netflix series on the Naledi. Our knowledgeable tour guide brought this to life well beyond the great displays.
Ephraim as guide was punctual, respectful and informative with an obvious passion for helping people to experience the places they visit. Comfortable, safe transport, great leaning and good food made this a wonderful day of getting the feel for the people of Africa - nicely balanced our visit to Pilanesberg last week where we got to know the animals.
Highly recommended at every level.
