点评：My late father spent nearly £600 on two flying experience for our family at Christmas and when we came to redeem the voucher a week after the schools broke up for Xmas, I was curtly told the vouchers had "expired". I questioned this because there was no time limit on the documentation my dad had been sent. They then hinted the would honour the voucher if I accepted in writing that I was in breach of their terms of conditions. I asked what those T&Cs were 3 times, but they would not tell me - what reputable company would do that? I said it was very irregular to ask someone to accept T&Cs but not tell them what those conditions were, at which point they ignored all communications, including one I sent recorded delivery.
Unfortunately my dad died and I was so upset by their behaviour, I took them to court. On the day, they announced that the voucher had only been valid for 6 months and I had presented it a few weeks after that cut-off (they had never said that before). Apparently my dad had clicked a box to complete the purchase and lost in the small print was a condition that any sale was only valid for 6 months. However, this was not on any documentation he was sent alongside the purchase and none of us knew this. The company were criticised by the judge for their behaviour but the decision went their way because my dad had clicked a box and that was their get-out-of-jail-free card.
They took £600 off a terminally ill pensioner, then tried to coax me into accepting unstated T&Cs before they would honour the voucher. When I questioned that, they just ignored all communications.
