Fairhill Native Botanic Garden的点评
点评：My husband a Gardner and plantsman by trade was more than delighted to agree to my suggestion of breakfast at Fairhill Nursery. He had reliably informed me they had a new cafe and refurbishment since our last visit pre covid. It’s taken a while to get us to the Sunny Coast. So we headed off to try it.
This is an exceptional place to visit. An amazing botanical garden and nursery it was quirky 6 years ago however the addition of the new Cafe is an extraordinary success.
Do not leave without eating. The food is superb. Simple and done to perfection. I had avo toast with bacon and my husband did say he liked all the sounds and squeaks of delight from me as I demolished it. Every mouthful was delicious. Well balanced and tasty. His apple and pork pie disappeared before I could ask how it was. One of the best plates of food I have had anywhere.
I had an Austrailiano coffee and would highly recommend it and their tropo smoothies are thick, cold and tasty.
I don’t know much about the plants I had more coffee and enjoyed the lovely garden space. I did finally find my husband in a lively conversation with one of the staff about native orchids. We are going back at the end of the week to purchase some plants for gardens in Sydney. More food too if I have my way. We have a takeaway box of cakes to try later too.
Every member of staff I met was kind, chatty and knowledgeable. It still has a few quirks and I’m delighted it has.
If you are up Coolum way this is more than worth a visit I’d actively detour for it. Be aware of its opening days Thurs-Mon and times Cafe 8-2 and nursery 8-4 but don’t let that put you off.
