点评:Very scary experience at Spring Lake Boardwalk Pavilion. Stay away.
Apparently there are visitors here who think anyone with a camera is a sex pervert of some kind. I was confronted by police who, while professional and correct, advised me that a woman had complained that I was taking pictures of children (false) and had looked into the entrance of women's restroom (also false). I understood this was because she saw me with a professional camera (apparently this woman was not aware everyone has a camera built into their phone).
I do not appreciate being baselessly stopped by police and do not want to be around a place inhabited by delusional people who make false and defamatory reports to the police. Altogether the experience was frightening and disturbing.
I am a 70 yr old white male, was respectably attired, and was prominently displaying a Spring Lake beach and pool pass. I do not know what might have happened if I was a person of color or did not interact with police as they expected. Overall, I regard this as a place that is dangerous despite its super-clean, upper class image.
