Ancient Greece Tours & Transfers的点评
点评：Greece itself was wonderful. My experience with Ancient Greece Tours . . . . was far more mixed. First of all, many of their tours are sub-contracted out. They often hand you off to third-party companies for many of "their" tours, and they never make that particularly clear. (This gets particularly problematic with the longer packages, where you might be in several hands.) There's no clear line of communication if things go wrong, and while things *usually* didn't, any time planes and ferries are involved, there's bound to be hiccups. And when they happened to us, we were more often than not unable to reach anyone--at ANY company. (Ancient Greece went completely silent on us with five days left in Greece, and we never heard from them again.) We booked several tours through Ancient Greece all at once, bought our airline tickets--based on the itineraries they provided--and then some of their partners CHANGED the tour dates! (Yes, we able to make new flight arrangements. No, we weren't able to exchange some of our airplane tickets, and so had to eat the costs and purchase new ones.) Final itineraries weren't provided until only a few days before the trip began (excusable enough), but then we would arrive in some cities to find that the hotel arrangements were no longer what was listed on our itineraries from just a few days earlier. And the lodgings themselves? Some were beautiful, some were OK, and some were OK lodgings in absolute hellholes. Did we enjoy seeing the breadth of Greece? Absolutely. Would I recommend this particular company? No, and for several reasons--most prominent among them is that your trip is only as good as the particular sub-contractors to whom your party happens to be sold off. And you won't know who that is until long after you've wired Ancient Greece your money.
