点评：I loaded credit on a Smartcard upon arrival at Perth airport and used the train into central station. My accommodation just a sort walk to the north.
For the next 11 days I explored Perth, Mandurah and Fremantle so extensively by train, subway, ferry and bus that I could now find my way around blindfolded.
The transport network is so good many locals don't own a car. A lack of any congestion in the CBD is quite noticeable.
For Smartcard holders the ferry to South Perth is free on Sundays.
Also, general bus travel within the CBD zone is free
The various CAT buses operate on set routes and are free for everyone.
A fantastic initiative, it's clean, fast and efficient.
The hour long train to Mandurah costs approx $9 and it's about half that to Fremantle.
All cities should operate on Perth's model and solve their congestion problems.
