点评:Not safe for women! I went with my mom today and was followed by a local man during the whole hike. At first he appeared normal and said hello, but he kept appearing and hiding in the bushes off trail. We ended up having to yell at him and threaten him, at which point he took off back into the forest. It is a highly dense forested area and it’s difficult to see someone if they are lingering off the trail. In our case, once we got to the view point, we stayed there out of fear, until we came across three other tourists and walked with them the rest of the way. Once we got back to the welcome center, the attendee was sympathetic to our situation and said that we and the other tourists were the only people that had passed through and that this man must’ve been there illegally. He claims that locals can jump the fence or somehow access the area by the water, and that the government has cut in the number of staff that are responsible for keeping the trail safe. If you are planning on going alone or without a man present, it is not worth the risk.
