Depaz Rum Distillery is the best rum distillery we have visited
Distillerie Depaz的点评
点评：We visited Depaz Rum Distillery as part of an excursion and didn’t expect the grounds and facilities to have been such a wow factor.
We have previously visited Appleton Rum Distillery in Jamacia and St. Lucia Distillers Ltd in St Lucia.
However, we thought the vast grounds and landscaping of Depaz were spectacular.
The grounds are so well kept and immaculate.
There were lots of extra elements at Depaz distillery, which the other 2 Rum Distilleries didn’t have such as;
1. Seeing the sugarcane being juiced and the sugar water extracted
2. A sugarcane field on site
3. Smoking the sugarcane on the distillery's premises
4. Seeing the harvest crop being moved and weighed
There was information boards next to every process of the rum procedure, explaining the stages of the production of the rum.
Although Martinique is a French speaking country, the information was written in English.
The Rum giftshop was very affordable with lots of gifts and souvenirs to buy.
We were allowed to taste the different varieties of rum, including cream-rum.
We were so impressed by the distillery and would definitely recommend a visit.
